There are countless stray dogs living in the wilderness across the country. Most of these dogs have grown accustomed to living alone that they don’t even know how to interact with humans. However, there are stray dogs that are quite curious and would try to interact with humans.
A woman named Raina recently brought a property near a mountain. Raina’s backyard is already the wilderness, and she expected to see wild animals roaming in the distance. However, what she didn’t expect was a stray dog.
While exploring her new backyard, Raina suddenly saw something pop behind the rocks and darted off to the mountains. Raina was sure that it was a dog, and she made it part of her daily routine to look for the pup. Raina would wake up at five in the morning to look for the dog.
Raina described the dog as having lived a rough life. The dog had a limp in his walk, and he also had scrapes and gashes on his legs. Raina wanted to give the dog a chance to find a loving forever home, but it proved quite difficult for the dog to trust humans. Whenever Raina would try to get near the dog, the dog would run away.
However, Raina knew that the stray dog craved attention, but he wasn’t sure how to interact with humans. The dog would show himself to Raina but would try to run away whenever Raina tries to come near him. Raina started leaving food and water for the stray dog.
Eventually, Raina decided to bring her own dog, Stella, with her when she visited the stray dog. When the stray dog met Stella, it was love at first sight. It was the first time that the stray dog wagged his tail and the two dogs played for hours on end.
Raina eventually contacted a rescue organization called Sky Sanctuary to rescue the stray dog. The stray dog proved to be quite cunning and would avoid conventional traps. However, Sky Sanctuary was able to capture the stray dog, and they were able to take the dog to their shelter.
Raina wanted to foster the stray dog, but because she had a toddler, Raina felt that her home wouldn’t be the best fit for the stray dog. However, the rescuers finally found a more than woman to help rehabilitate the dog and train him to live in a home environment. The stray dog, now named Kingston, now lives happily with a loving family after four years of living in the mountains. Here’s a heartwarming video of how Kingston was rescued and how he found an amazing forever home.
