We all react quite differently when faced with a situation we’ve never been in before. Our reactions vary, but we definitely all feel the same.
This is what a Golden Retriever named Reggie experienced when he saw himself in the mirror for the first time. He was so shocked that he could just stare at the pup looking right back at him.
After a few seconds, Reggie was able to find his voice and bark. Who was this intruder, and what did he want from this family? Nothing bad was gonna happen here, at least, not on his watch.
The adorable puppy barked, but the hooligan in front of him barked too. Well, he certainly had the nerve, and this annoyed Reggie. This pup mirrored everything he did.
That’s because that’s a literal mirror, pet. What you see is your reflection, not another puppy in the house. We could try to explain, but you’ll get used to it soon.
Reggie hid after that first round of barking and then peeked out. He was surprised that the intruder also did the same thing. How does this rascal know exactly what he planned to do?
You’ll find that out soon, don’t worry. Once you get used to seeing yourself every time you pass by that mirror, you’ll get it one day. We’ll let it happen the natural way.
The curious pup did many things including barking, hiding, and sitting. No matter what he did, the rascal did all of them, and he had impeccably perfect timing too!
We know that the experience made you feel like it’s something out of this world, pup. Have faith, stay calm, and take things one at a time. This way, you wouldn’t get too overwhelmed to function.
You’ll soon find out that this so-called copy-cat is actually you, so try to be friendly with it. We’ll be laughing with you once you get that there was never any real danger there.
